About Debbie
Prior to setting up my own coaching and consultancy business 14 years ago, I headed up learning and organisational development functions in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations.
I always had a special interest in leadership and team development. At Mars I facilitated their European management programme. At Oxfam I was responsible for management development; delivering essential management training in conflict zones around the world and launching Oxfam’s first global leadership programme. My passion for supporting and developing leaders continues today.
As an independent coach and facilitator, projects in recent years have included working with top teams and whole organisations to improve ways of working, bring about culture change and increase productivity.
I draw on positive psychology and use psychometric assessments when appropriate to generate awareness and fresh insights. From the outset my intention is to encourage a trusting, open dialogue and genuine partnership. Coaching isn’t a soft option. A comfy conversation will not unlock potential or bring about change, so I constantly strive to balance support and challenge, in order to create a safe space in which clients can get the results they are looking for.
“At every session she ‘holds up the mirror’ helping you really see where the issues are. Her no nonsense, practical approach means I always leave sessions 100% clear about how I will implement the improvements we’ve discussed.”
